Tissue specificity：Expressed in the central and peripheral nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, cranial and dorsal root ganglia and in the parasympathetic ganglia. Present in neurons, but not in glial cells, in most forebrain areas. Strong expression in the hippocampal CA1 pyramidal cell layer. Expressed in the photoreceptor sensory cilium complex and in eyes.
