Product Introduction

Cell crude extracts contain various endogenous enzymes such as phosphatases and proteases, which can degrade and modify proteins in the extracts and compromise the quality of protein preparations. Adding specific enzyme inhibitors is the optimal approach to maximize the yield of intact proteins.

This protease inhibitor cocktail is optimized for extracts from mammalian cells and tissues. Rigorously validated, it broadly inhibits serine proteases, cysteine proteases, acid proteases and aminopeptidases with comprehensive inhibitory activity. Formulated as a ready-to-use DMSO solution, it is easy to apply and compatible with a wide range of protein extraction experiments. The product is a colorless to pale yellow liquid. It remains unfrozen at -20 °C for greater operational convenience. If crystals form during storage, shake well before use; this will not affect product performance.

Standard Operating Procedure

Dilution: Dilute the product into the target solution at a volume ratio of 1:100 and mix thoroughly. For example, add 10 μL of this product to 1 mL of cell lysis buffer.
