We list detailed information on various proteins on this webpage, which EnkiLife references when developing protein-related products. The protein data is sourced from UniProt, and since UniProt updates its information periodically, the data on our webpage may not always be up-to-date or may contain inaccuracies. If you notice any errors while browsing, we warmly welcome your feedback. Additionally, if you have any suggestions regarding any aspect of our website, please feel free to share them with us. Tissue specificity:Expressed in both the central nervous system (CNS) and in non-CNS tissues. Expressed in a highly dynamic pattern in the anterior neuroectoderm during the early stages of neurogenesis between 7.5 dpc and 10.5 dpc. Beginning at 10.5 dpc, expression begins in mesenchymal tissues of several organs including the digestive tract, kidney, testis, frontonasal mass, tooth primordium, tongue, mandible, whisker follicles, ear, eye, limb bud and in distinct regions of the brain. Also expressed in the heart, ileum, liver and muscle. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12168040, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8808409}.
Induction:Expression in C6 glioma cells was transiently induced by treatment with phorbol myristate acetate (PMA), but not by forskolin. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:9426245}.
Developmental stage:First detected at 7.5 dpc, reaches its peak around 9.5 dpc and declines considerably after 10.5 dpc. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:8808409}.
Protein families:TGF-beta family, GDNF subfamily
