Anti-idiotype Antibody Services

Blocking (Type 1), Non-blocking (Type 2), and Complex-specific (Type 3) anti-ID antibodies

Develop high-affinity anti-idiotype antibodies for your therapeutic programs—biologics, ADCs, bispecifics, VHH, and more. Choose from rabbit monoclonal and mouse monoclonal formats. Fast turnaround from 7 weeks.

Three Types of Anti-idiotype Antibodies

Select the right anti-ID format based on your drug target and assay requirements (PK, ADA, or immunogenicity).

Type 1: Antigen-blocking (Paratope-specific)
Type 2: Non-blocking (Non-paratope-specific)
Type 3: Complex-specific (Partially paratope-specific)
Feature: Binds to CDR region; inhibits antigen binding
Feature: Binds to framework region; does not inhibit antigen binding
Feature: Binds only to drug-target complex
Application: Detect free drug only (PK assays)
Application: Detect total drug (free + bound) for ADA assays
Application: Detect bound drug (target engagement)
Selection Guideline:
- For cell-bound targets (e.g., PD1/PDL1), Type 1 or Type 2 can be applied
- For soluble targets (e.g., TNF), both Type 1 & Type 2 may be needed
Selection Guideline:
- Preferred when you need to measure total drug concentration regardless of target binding
Selection Guideline:
- Essential for studying target occupancy and pharmacodynamics

For most therapeutic antibody programs, we recommend developing both Type 1 (blocking) and Type 2 (non-blocking) anti-ID antibodies to enable comprehensive PK/ADA assay development.
