Tissue specificity：Detected in cerebellum granule neurons; not detected in astroglia (at protein level). Detected primarily in cerebellum, and at lower levels in brain cortex, olfactory bulb, hindbrain and hippocampus dentate gyrus. Between 6 and 10 days after birth, when granule cell migration occurs in the cerebellum, detected in granule cell precursors in the external germinal layer, the molecular layer, the internal granule layer and in Purkinje neurons.
